There are those of us that love lighthouses, myself included. Ethereal and mysterious. Amazing engineering. Written & inspired by Oregon lighthouses, one in particular. A blank fine art card. The poem reads: In the tower of the lighthouse, the beacon aglow. With the mystery of the deep ocean below. They sit on their own, so majestic and brave, For many a ship and soul have they saved. For those drawn to lighthouses, the sentinels of the shore, There is a feeling of secrecy encased in their lore. Man and the ocean, an adventurous plight, And those valiant souls, the keepers of light. The builders, the workers of this engineering art, Their courageous spirit, the lighthouse’s heart. For those drawn to lighthouses, there is more than you see, There is an allure, a magic, a sweet mystery. A link in life, between the ocean and shore. A guiding light to passage, a celestial door. For those drawn to lighthouses, the champions of the sea, There is a feeling of foreverness, of true eternity.
