Artist Notes:

This Italian-language religious Christmas card features a devotional watercolor of the Holy Family—Mary, Joseph, and the infant Jesus—resting peacefully beneath a soft spray of holly. The text at the top of the card reads in Italian: “Perché un bambino è nato per noi,” which translates to “For a child is born to us.” Below the image, the scripture from Matthew 1:23 appears in Italian: “Lo chiameranno Emmanuele, che tradotto vuol dire: ‘Dio con noi,’” which means “They shall call his name Emmanuel, which means ‘God with us.’” The inside message continues the reverent tone, celebrating the miracle of Christmas with the words: “Celebriamo con te il miracolo del Natale,” translated as “Rejoicing with you in the miracle of Christmas.” A beautiful way to share faith, hope, and the joy of the Nativity with Italian-speaking friends and family.
