This card showcases a shofar, or ram's horn that is sounded at the beginnings and ends of the Rosh Hashanah holiday season. It is a call to our spiritual awareness and connection to our heritage and our ancestors. The dove represents the peace to be found within and the pomegranate is one of fruits speculated to have appeared in the Garden of Eden. The Hebrew text above the shofar indicates the sound it makes in a specific pattern: 'Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah...' There is no English translation for these words as the sounds are phonetic.
